School Start and Finish Times
The school day starts at 8.50 am and finishes at 3.10 pm.
The school gates are opened at 8.40 am and will then be locked during the school day. Access to the school at these times is via the main entrance only
Absences
If your child is ill, please telephone the school office by 9.30 am on 764822. There is an answermachine and messages are picked up regularly.
Uniform
Sweatshirts with the school logo, poloshirts, cardigans, book bags, swimming bags , PE bags and swimming hats are available from Simplyschoolwear who are based in Faringdon. Orders can be placed online at www.simplyschoolwear.co.uk. Just find Millbrook in the A-Z list of schools after entering the "shop" area of their site. Alternatively, Simplyschoolwear can be contacted on Freephone 0800 404 6644 Most items can be name-tagged free of charge and all items are delivered directly to your home, at no additional cost, usually within 7 days

School Meals
Meal charges are :
One meal = £2
One week = £10
Favourite Dinners = £12 (Term 1)
All Term = £74

School meals are nutritionally balanced and fresh fruit and yoghurt is available every day, as well as a main meal and pudding. Chips are served once a week on a Friday.
Brunch bags are also very popular and consist of a sandwich with a choice of healthy fillings, a piece of fruit, a yoghurt and a homemade biscuit
You can either send in the exact money for your child's meal or any amount and just keep topping it up! Our computerised dinner money program will keep extra money on account for future use. For an up to date statement of your child's account, please ask Mrs Newcomb at the Office
Free School Meals
If you are in receipt of Income Support, Job Seeker's Allowance or Child Tax Credit, with a family income below £15,575, you may be eligible for free school meals for your child. Please contact the office where your query will be dealt with in confidence.
Please send money in on Mondays or Fridays only in an envelope marked with your child's name and class clearly labelled
Fruit
As part of the Government's "5 a Day" scheme, children up to Year 2 receive a piece of fruit each day which, in most classes, is eaten as a morning snack.
Water Bottles
Children are allowed to bring in a clearly named bottle of water which will be kept in the classroom for use during the day. This should be taken home each evening for refilling!
