I am pleased to introduce you to Millbrook School and hope to welcome you as members of our school community. We are a large, busy primary school with a committed school team and a very supportive parent body.
Earlier this year, we were very disappointed that Ofsted placed the school in Special Measures but are confident that we can drive through our comprehensive action plan and see this change very much for the better as soon as possible. Whether people have a long and established connection with the school or are entirely new, our guiding principle is to seek excellence in all that we do and to uphold the good name of Millbrook within and beyond its community.
Our endeavour is very much a joint-enterprise, involving the whole school community working with the Interim Executive Board and outside agencies supporting Millbrook. Those who work within and for the school fully recognise and appreciate the support parents provide and the contribution they make to their child’s learning but especially so at this time.
Looking to the future, we are very much bound by the key issues Ofsted have asked us to address but that should not prevent Millbrook being a place where we seek continually to be better and where we aim for all our children to be happy, hard-working, well-behaved, take pride in their work and enjoy their time here.
If you would like to arrange a visit, please contact Mrs Newcomb in the school office. She will be happy to arrange an appointment.
